Today was one of those days that started early, went in one direction, got busy in the middle, zagged to another direction, and ended up not at all where I thought it might be.
So I figured it was a good time to give you an update on Finn.
All is well so far. Duncan is now 31+ weeks pregnant. She's about ready to be 39 weeks pregnant, but I'll tell you this: I could stand about two hours of it before I'd lose my mind. She is a trooper and if you ever want to be amazed watch a pregnant woman work for a little bit (actually, bad advice, there: never just watch a pregnant woman work. Help her out, for crying out loud. She's pregnant, for God's sake.)
Despite some things that had us a bit worried off and on earlier, we're all doing fine. Both Duncan and I are excited for Finn to get here. In fact, Emeline is, too. She's two, so this whole thing takes a bit of getting used to, but she'll get there. She is smart, and she may be the sweetest, most caring kid I know (now that I have a kid, I know a lot more kids; they're all sweet, sure, but there really is something special about Emmy).
I am excited, and I'm nervous. Boys are different. But I have a feeling he'll be a good kid, too -- just like his big sister.
Will keep you posted the closer we get. Thanks.
