Just a quick note to say we're back, we had a totally awesome Thanksgiving -- and hope you did, too -- and we're getting geared up for Christmas, and a whole new year.
I have high expectations for 2013.
So, you may or may not have noticed in recent posts that my tone has maybe been a little... off. A large part of that was the nasty atmosphere surrounding this past election. But that election is over, now. Time to move on to new problems and new solutions.
Which leads me to what I want to talk to you about. You know, for several months I have been strongly considering shutting this thing down. It has been great -- a lot of fun -- and (for me, at least) well worth doing. But it's long felt like it is time for something new.
And so I'm going to start something new. You probably already know I have a lot of interest in writing that is not just political in nature. I like writing about my family -- my kids, especially. I like writing fiction, too. I like telling stories, and even better, I like hearing stories, especially really good ones.
What I can tell you is that I'll be developing some new and exciting things over the next few days and weeks. These are good and worthy projects, and they're exciting and they will be bigger than just me and my increasingly rambly political views.
Still, I find that I cannot just shut down the Spencerian. It has been too good to me, and has been too fun for me to dishonor by just walking away. So I'll be incorporating it into the new stuff. Think of it as Spencerian 2.0.
Keep coming back as you can, keep watching this space for more.
And, as always, thanks so much for coming by in the first place.
What a great break. I'm glad to be back.
